The Grand Canyon is the reason most people come to Williams, Arizona. Karis will tell you it’s only the beginning.

She and her husband built Aframe Grand Canyon from scratch. A custom-designed A-frame on 1.5 fenced acres surrounded by pines, with Bill Williams Mountain in the frame and some of the darkest skies in the country right above you. Two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a wood stove, Starlink Wi-Fi, and a premium coffee setup waiting on the counter. The kind of place where the morning ritual (grind the beans, brew the cup, step onto the deck) becomes the thing you remember most.

Karis joined Houfy because she didn’t want to build her business on someone else’s platform. She wanted a direct connection with guests, where she knows who’s arriving, what they’re celebrating, and how to make sure the property feels ready specifically for them. Dogs are welcome too (the fenced yard was built with that in mind).

Autumn is worth noting here. Elk bugle through the area from September onward, the crowds thin out, the pines shift, the air cools, and the fire feature on the deck gets more use. It’s a different trip than summer, and usually a better one.
